PR on Laptops?

Post by MrTomRobs »

Hey everybody! I've been looking at getting BF2 for some time now and i've finally ordered it, so PR is definately a must have for me, and frankly i cant wait for it.

My question is this: What experience does anybody have with BF2 or PR on laptops? I don't have a desktop, but my laptop has pretty decent specs (would have been top end by the time the original BF2 came out.). I can run BF1942 on full everything, and i've found something called GameBooster that grants me even more use of my RAM and graphics card and what not.

My specs are:
Medion P6620 laptop
Intel Core 2 Duo T6500 @ 2.10GHz
4GB RAM
32bit OS Windows 7 with 5.2 Windows Index (Gaming Graphics is lowest rating at 5.2, the rest are averaging around 6.0)
NVidia GEFORCE with Cuda GT220M at 1024MB
1366 x 768 Monitor

Does anybody reckon i'd have any problems in keeping up with the rest of you guys who undoubtedly have this on a dedicated desktop?

Ta!

It's not a matter of laptop vs desktop, it's a matter of the hardware inside.

While undoubtedly true, i know some of the graphics chipsets in laptops dont support gaming as well as desktop designed chipsets. However, i think i've got one thats a sort of intermediate between the two... we shall see, but hopes are high.

And also, hitperson? I play ibanez too... :D

Yeah should be absolutely fine with that, 4GB of RAM is key in PR if you'd had less i'd have said you might struggle but with it you should be able to run on medium pretty well.

The smell, you know that gasoline smell, the whole hill. Smelled like... victory. Someday this war's gonna end... "
