Why would it use page file if i still have another 3 gb?
Because windows always uses the page file,no matter how much ram.
Disabling the PF won't help, there will still be a page file created when you start the PC.
When you drive to a store - you still need your legs to get in.
Not the best example, but you get the idea.

I just thought it was because I have an integrated Geforce 9100, but this makes me think that might not be the problem.
That is a bit of a problem.

Extra tip:
When you put in the command line to show fps in bf2, the second number is how much choke you're getting.
That is why you ether have a high number on one side and a low on the other or vis versa.
BTW it's :renderer.drawfps1
You cannot find an even amount of choke and FPS.
That would be quite dumb to want in the first place.
But finding out how much choke you are getting you can tell if it's you're GPU or not.
Since I have the 9800GT 512MB, I can run every map on high. ( note read other post for my problem).
He is getting choke.
The second number
is the time (in ms) between the frames, the first one is
frames per second (obviously)
More time (higher second number) between the frames=low fps
less time between the frames=more fps
samthegreat4 wrote:Hey Guys,
I have some low performance trouble too, BUT over here it is map specific.
Like for example on the map Asad Khal my FPS doesn't go lower than 80.
And that's with everything high except text. filtering, and the viewdistance on 98.
On other maps though, like Kozelsk on some places, Gaza Beach pretty much in the city everywhere, Yamalia when I zoom in at the grassfields, Fallujah West (which is the worst btw, FPS doesnt go higher than 30/40 FPS, and that's really the max), Korengal, Karbala (superhuge framedrop at the tower-static in the middle of the grassfield), it's really not quite normal.
For I have a Phenom 2 x4 920 @3.0 Ghz
ATI HD 4870 512 MB
4 GB of DDR2 RAM
3 HDD's: 1 TB - 500 GB - 300 GB
Creative Soundblaster Audigy 2
It should really not have any, and I mean it when I say any, because even Crysis on very high gives me better FPS, trouble with PR. I think it's just poor optimization on the engine.
Smaller desert maps (generally speaking) run faster then the bigger ones (with lots of greenery). The bf2 engine was made for tiny maps,it's almost a miracle
(and of course a LOT of work by the PR team) that anything bigger then strike at karkand can run at all.
