Don't have time to play?

I love PR and have played it for years. Unfortunately, due to increasing amounts of coursework and other commitments I find myself playing scarcely, being limited to the rare weekend of free time.

My purpose in creating this thread is to:

1) Gain an idea of how many people have similar feelings.

2) Generate awareness in the community.

Yes, it could be said that this is not a PR specific issue, but it is important to keep in mind that PR takes up a longer duration of continuous playtime than many other games. Often I find that I join in midway through a round. I use that time to warm up then play through the next round or two. This could easily take up 3-4 hours.

So in closing, please comment. I would like to hear any feedback you guys have.

Stop school or working, there's your answer. I've been working 90-100 hour weeks and I have very little time to play these days.

Or concentrate to play on free days (if you have any )

As someone who is a full time student, with one on-call job, and another part-time, I can strangely identify.

i completly understand that cause pr is pretty time cosuming
still... once played, you can never unplay it (mbe somebody will get that one, but prolly not cause it sucks and its late at my place )

Feel lucky that you have a whole weekend to play at least. I'll be studying for my SAT.

you think you do not have time to play ? i'm in the army, doing work up training for afghanistan, and gettin deployed very soon... Currently im stuck in wainwright for final training exercice for afghanistan, i cant play and i wont be able to play in Afghanistan ( i mean online ) so... seriously, if you cant find 1 or 2 hours a week to play... you wont make me cry.

Wow who studies for their SAT/ACT?

I think I played PR the night before. College is a little different though. Lately I have been playing source mods, because you can hop on play then hop off. I think the catch is, that if PR didn't take so much time to play, it would be less immersive.

@Hotrod I do have an hour or two a week, but I usually try to catch it at a time where my dorm internet isn't overloaded. Mainly I have to weigh the good and bad of not studying out. Good luck in Afghanistan.

I don't have time to play PR now, even if I do have time to play I am too tired to play. I guess weekends are about the only time I can play.

If your idea of fun is lots of diversity and going through lots of maps, then PR will be problematic for you. I play like once or twice a week myself and its all good. I dont get to play all the maps, but I rather have one good round on a good maps where all kinds of stuff happens, than 5 generic rounds in a row.

My problem is not requiring a diversity. Its just that it takes a while to warm up for part of a round and get that one good map in. Its hard to come in during the middle of the battle and get caught up to speed enough to enjoy the round.

My problem is that if I want to play PR I have to sacrifice sleep. I'm usually working in the morning and college at night, so I I want to play, I have to be tired. I do play a lot on weekends usually though.

Welll instead of playing 1 hour 3 to 4 times a week I suggest getting stuff out of the way during the week so you can do 3-5 hours in a row on a weekend.

Well, Im like all you other poor ******** in high school. Its play and workout all summer, then football starts, so I have no life during the fall. it nothing but Practice, Eat, Homework, Eat, Sleep oh and get prepared for some college ball (hopefully)

but I definitely plan for some slow, sweet PR loving after the season is done its been way too long since I lined up some Taliban in my sights
