Camera Feature from Jets?
I'll go ahead and be honest, I have no idea if its realistic and I'll go ahead and say I got the idea to suggest this from watching a Combined Arms Video on youtube. I just thought it was cool that the pilot of the jet was able to look through a camera and look for targets directly below him without going inverted.
I briefly scanned over the "ASL" and didn't see it if its there sorry.

Almost like how the UAV works? I'd like to see this for jets, although you shouldn't be looking at the ground, or flying low enough to spot things

I disagree. You most certainly should not maintain a Altitude where you have the ability to view the ground but If your spotter says he heard armor north of him but doesn't have visual its not always such a bad thing to go sideways/inverted and use your ctrl key (default) to look down. Obviously its risky to do it all the time but for times when you feel confident there is no AA in the area its not so bad.Dev1200 wrote:Almost like how the UAV works? I play uber-conservative with the jets, so that may be why most people disagree with most of my jet tactics ^_^

This is a bit off topic but what do I need to play CA? Is there CA version for PR .91?

you can have both PR intalls on at the same time yes, there is no CA for 0.91

This would be a good feature for PR, I was a tester also for CA, CAS_117 and the other devs for it are starting it back up and will have a release when the team finish the compatibility. (NOTE: By "other DEVS", I mean the CA team, not the PR team)
The PR Devs also put in a lock head camera in the jets, Weapon 7 moves your view to the left, weapon 8 moves it up, and weapon 9 moves it to the right, VERY useful if you have a HAT on your control stick. and Weapon 1 or 0 I can't remember if they have it, it will set it back to the front.

I dont see why we cant use one of those cameras .. the ONLY THING that comes to an issue is HOW freakishly fast Pr jets fly ... and how little time you have to concentrate on whats going on... i would have to say .. stick to paying attention to whats going on infront of you

The targeting pod would only make sense if the pilot can guide a-g munitions himself.
It's going to be hell to be able to keep it on target if it's an LG mode.
