Optics on HMGs

Would it be possible to fit something like a 6x ACOG to 50 cal machineguns on vehicles, that could be used to aim and help engage the enemy?

There's a picture in the PR load screen showing a Brit manning a 50 cal with what looks to be a SUSAT of some sort, so it's out there.

Right now they zoom for gameplay's sake, but it would be nice to actually have some sort of aiming reticle besides a super-zoom ironsight.

I don't think the .50 cals that can be found on vehicles have any noticeable zoom. Deployed .50's are anothor story though. However I wouldn't mind a scope on any of them. Perhaps their accuracy could be lowered a bit, just to even things out. Or the same zoom that's currently applied to the deployed ones.

By the way, is this considered as an equipment suggestion?

I think MGs seeing where they're shooting would be OP. Right now it's set up so somebody needs to spot. Or the gunner just shoots widly trying to pin them. It's a balance issue.

I can see and kill people pretty easily as it is. I would love an optic that zooms instead of just Irons.

I agree. A 4x Scope on the HMG's would drastically increase realism, instead of that awkward zoom like on the PKM.

There's no picture of a logical optic mount on an M2, but there is a rail system:

I'm sure we could just slap an ACOG (or SUSAT) or whatever else on there.
