[?] Sea Based Oil Rig static?

Has anyone created one of these yet for any maps not in use?
Thought this would be sweet for a map with lots of water, such as Muttrah has. Could have a BP insignia on it and even have oil slick around it. But in all seriousness, this would add something really awesome to some new maps in the future. Imagine attacking or defending it using the small RHIB's or helo's.

PSC?

I know it would require a new map for it to be useful...but that does open new doors.

Map with 4 complicated oil rigs, and 1 or 2 enterable cargo ships which are under terrorists/militia control could be very interesting. Map could be 100% water, blufor would do helicopter insertions all over the rigs, and militia could move between rigs with boats ? =)

It would be just big job to make large oil platforms and enterable cargo ships that are large enough so that defending those isnt too easy. But those objects could be used in other maps too and those would be quite cool ones too.

Some pictures of complicated ones (would need to reduce amount of pipes quite alot, then those would be doable?):

PSC = Private Security Contractors. It's a community faction and I think this type of game would suit them fairly well.

those rigs are sweet. I couldnt imagine having to model those.

It looks better in the screens than it really is.

It has loads of missing faces and walking over, well you can't really walk over it you need to bunny hop all over it as you keep on getting stuck on statics :p

That's too bad, the screenshots look really nice. Jumping over every single brick would be insane :p .

make a nice 4k map for any opfor vs bluefor force pretty much anywhere around the world. a couple of cargo ships at least two rigs and a aircraft carrier or (insert ship model type here)
remindds me of a conversation i had a while back about the Timor Sea!. might need to be a foggy day at sea though?, a couple of sea-buoy's bells in the distance to add atmosphere, and smoke from burning ships......oh spooky..

Oil rigs would be fun :) would prefer some custom made statics to help keep the number of objects down, but that oil rig on the other map looks kind of neat tbh

Something funny is going on. I was just thinking about an oil rig static yesterday.

I know there is a jet only map on AIX that has oil rigs made up sandbox style, which IMO looks nowhere near as good as what a proper static would look like.

Oil rigs are complicated things though, would be hard to make and design.
