LAN without bots

Post by sfirita »

hi all, its my first post in this forum, i moved to project reality after getting good experience on BF2,
as i know for the server files we need to apply for it, and for now its disabled for maintenance, BUT...can we play in normal Lans without Bots, i mean not in co-op mode, by using hamachi for example, or we just need those server files to set up a server even in normal Lans?

was just wondering...and waiting for your answers.thnx in advance and have fun playing this awesome mod :)

I am probably aware of the fact that english is not your 1st language and what you have wrote is difficult to understand but i will say what i think your on about. You shouldn't need server files to set up a LAN game, ive done it several times with my brother without the server files. As for hamachi, well i have never used it for PR as i have had seen no real need for it.

Welcome to the forums, and the mod ;)

Hamachi works fine, so does hosting a LAN server in any game mode.

Welcome to the forums, Okay, You don't need the server files for a LAN game, So you can play with your mates. I have no experience with Hamachi so I don't know how that works.

once whoever is hosting the game is in the game, that person must then press tab(to open scoreboard) and hold it down, then right click and use the mouse to navagate to "server info" at the top left of screen, left click on server info and a drop down box should come down and IP address should be shown. tell your friends to go into lan and type that ip with correct port and it should work for ya....

welcome sfirita, if you are using hamachi you can right click the computer name of the host of the LAN in the hamachi interface, select copy ip address, tehn you can paste (Ctrl-V) in to the server info ingame.

your english is excellent in my opinion :)
