Pretty sure the tools only work with Max9. Also the model need smoothing groups. Did't Wolfi make the same model a while ago for USI?

if it was made by "someone you knew" you need direct consent from them in order to use it and before I help you I want to see that consent and it needs to be something pretty solid.

Right after clearing up where you got your model from I will now point you in the right direction.

For starters its unlikely your going to find anyone in the community to export a model for you, since it needs much more work than just "exporting" as the model needs many fixes, re-UVing/texturing, lods, cols and then it can be exported and then it needs coding etc :p

This tutorial that I've just finished will explain pretty much everything that's needed, other than what you need to do to fix the model so in place of step 2 which is modelling, you will instead need to do model fixing: https://www.realitymod.com/forum/f189-m ... ucture.htm

As mentioned by Tim, you need to export the model using Max9 (not 2009, 9) so there isn't really any point trying to fix the model up in Max2010 as you will need to back port it anyways to max 9 which the back port on its own will destroy pretty much all the fixes you do.

Once you have got it into max9 and if your prepared to fix the model up yourself I and I'm sure other community members will help point out what needs to be fixed but its most likley going to be up to you to do the fixes.

As for the model already having UVs/Textures, as noted in that tut and my Texture Pallets tut, BF2 statics need to use the BF2 Texture Pallets and as such, you will need to reskin it with them, although that really shouldn't be that hard since all it is is rock and metal in some colours which you can easily find thous textures you need in the pallets. Can find more about texturing in Step 3 of that tut above, but you need to have the model fully fixed up before you start retexturing :)

Once you have done that then you can move onto the lods, then the cols, then exporting and finally coding as stated in the tut and that should explain everything you need to do.

Of course you can hope that someone else might be able to help you out with this but anyone with knowledge of doing statics is right now really busy with PR work or r/l, or both so you will either have to find someone who is willing to learn all this for you, or you can learn it yourself ;)

Hope that helps anyways, did spend 4 days writing that tut so make use of it :p

Also take note of this tut as well, its not about statics but it has some relevant points you should read: https://www.realitymod.com/forum/f388-p ... ssets.html
