Hearing the Windows Crash sound nearly everytime I exit. Is this bad for my PC?

Are the constant CTD's from this mod actually bad for your PC? For me, the most frequent crash happens when I exit the game and I hear that Windows "crash sound". I hear it nearly everytime I exit the mod and I play this mod nearly everyday now. I'm wondering if these constant crashes could actually harm my computer in the long term. No so far all my crashes have either been CTDs during loading or that sound i hear after exiting. The loading CTDs also happen at least once a day. I have not suffered from any BSODs or freezes.

When I exit the game, I often hear the "crash sound" as well, nothing to worry about. Though in many cases, I just exist through alt+f4, not giving me the sound. Not sure what it is, but it's nothing to worry about.

Not necissarily, if you Alt+F4 while playing the FH2 mod, it can't reset the shaders and messes up everything for other mods and vBF2. With vBF2 and PR I'm not sure, I've never had any issues with it at least

I never had a problem with PR. FH2(.exe) works differently though, it copies shaderfiles and could mess things up if you force it to close.

Me too since 0.9 I ALWAYS get that windows error noise when I exit PR.

i always ALT+f4 sometimes the shaders get messed up if i altF4 from a map that stresses the PC like beirut but its an easy fix and the crash sound is just BF2 being stupid nothing to worry about.

does entering quit into the console cause any problems?

I do it quite often but it might be a bad thing.

if i remember correctly i had these crash sounds with battlefield 2 vanilla too.
Dont think its something to worry about.
