Zoom in on H-AT kit
I am suggesting making it so that you have to zoom in on the H-AT kit to fire. This is because, as some of you may know, or not, it's pretty easy to either accidentally click on the mouse just by a twitch or by trying to look at your map or squad menu and you accidentally click before or after the menu actually pops on/away from the screen. I have done this twice when I was with a "specialty" squad when we were roaming on Silent Eagle with the HAT trying to get armor. Even if you have extra ammo, this certainly gives away your position within a certain distance and also messes up your operating procedure as you have to relocate, reload, and get the HAT set back up. Some of you may just say keep your finger off the mouse and be careful but sometimes the menu mouse glitches or whatever and you accidentally fire.
Lol, a little too much text for a simple suggestion.

Your "Because" doesn't make sense to me, how will zooming in stop you from firing the rocket?

Having to scope in to fire the rocket will prevent you from firing it accidentally whilst not scoped in.Turner wrote:Your "Because" doesn't make sense to me, how will zooming in stop you from firing the rocket?
lol, yeah.Ohais wrote:Lol, a little too much text for a simple suggestion.
Suggestion:
Firing H-AT's requires the weapon to be scoped in to prevent accidental un-scoped discharge.

^ Replace zoomed in with scoped, must bring up sights to fire, and that would be a good idea if possible.

I seriously honestly don't care if this is implemented or not, I don't have issues like that. But if you are saying that DOES happen, then do it.
P.S. I thought it was already in-game, actually.

In all seriousness, just practice not resting your finger on the button that shoots missiles.

Whenever I need to switch on my "safety" I just move my left-mouse button finger to the right button or the middle one. Works wonders.

The AA has this feature, why not HAT. It's not like anyone noscopes anyway. Why not just make a quick fix and avoid this otherwise negative feature.

Re: Zoom in on H-AT kit
I mean I do move my finger when I'm not ready to fire but when I bring up my scoreboard or "capslock" screen, sometimes when you do the activate mouse, it doesn't activate then you click something on the screen and it misfires. I was thinking the same thing as Exonar, where I don't think anyone "noscopes" it and it would also add to the reality of where you have to check your target and use the launch zoom(screen) to fire.

As a safety, put your "trigger finger" on your MMB. This way you can't shoot

Totally didn't see your post Haji :X
However, this would protect against "hip firing" a heavy anti-tank missile..

Re: Zoom in on H-AT kit
i like this suggestion as i rarely see people no-scope with the HAT anyways. it happens to me alot (with the rifles) since it's easy to accidentally hit the LMB espcially when using the Q/T comma rose or need to left click for some reason.

Re: Zoom in on H-AT kit
you know i really don't want this there's been a lot of time where having to scope in would of gotten me killed, because i was just so near the apc it was faster to just free fire it into the side of it, so i wanna keep it like it is.

Re: Zoom in on H-AT kit
I'd be sad if the hip fire was removed..
If im walking around with a HAT out, waiting for a tank, and i get suprised by an enemy infantry, i hip fire my HAT just to make sure he doesn't get the shot, or at least has to go back to rearm

Re: Zoom in on H-AT kit
Reasonable suggestion. Of course putting the finger off the left mouse button is always good, but as has been said, the left mouse button serves more than one purpose and accidents still may happen when clicking it is needed for other things.
So yeah, if it's not hard to change, I'm all for it.
