FORKLIFT!!!
after playing some games on operation Archer and building fobs, i have found this startling revelation, Vehicles sometime flip over due to terrain or ramming other vehicles, so why not have a forklift which can act like a resuscitation(not literally) for vehicles and flip them back around, It will keep you from having to destroy an APC or jeep just so it will re spawn
Another thing is that crates are often in bad places, why not keep one by a fob and use them to move supply crates around to better spots that are more organized, and can also destroy assets that the team wants to destroy, such as tows when they are out of ammo.
Description of Forklift:
-slow vehicle
-hard to flip
-1 supply crate
-backing up noise
-move crates
-flip vehicle
-deploy repair stations(for after the vehicle is flipped)
-worth little tickets and spawn fast since it is combat inefficient
-1-2 seats
-little armor

Re: FORKLIFT!!!
These are already in game... just single player.
I doubt they'd be much capable of flipping vehicles (in fact I think the vehicle would flip them, ohohoh!). But moving crates around would be nifty if not nearly impossible.

I definetly agree with u with forklift idea . It's really a pain in the *** to move the apc without flip it over . IRL apcs dont flip over this often . (Operation Archer is being discussed in the reply)

I never play single player, but if it is on that, how about placing it in multiplayer with the functions listed above, plus why would it be impossible, if you make a lifting animation, it should be able to move under vehicle and flip it one way or another.

Re: FORKLIFT!!!
There is a Forklift in game already, but it has no real function but to race around. and I don't think it's possible with the BF2 engine, sadly.

Re: FORKLIFT!!!
you could always try not going places where your vehicle might flip?
are you really saying that this
http://www.olive-drab.com/images/mre_forklift_700.jpg
could fix this?
http://www.strangemilitary.com/images/c ... 141254.jpg
now think of what would happen ingame
APC flips on archer, forklift is dispatched from main....
a forklift driving up the afghan roads by itself, going in to the rough terrain that flipped an APC, and righting it, then driving home.
its project reality...not an episode of bob the builder or something....

put the crates in 'good places' rather than put them in bad places?Another thing is that crates are often in bad places, why not keep one by a fob and use them to move supply crates around to better spots that are more organized, and can also destroy assets that the team wants to destroy, such as tows when they are out of ammo.

Re: FORKLIFT!!!
Also Vehicles colliding + BF2 = Everything exploding most of the time. I find it hard to believe a forklift would ever go anywhere but airports and large fobs when deployed in theatre. A forklift is not going to be able to flip a apc, let alone even drive to where it got stuck most likely. (Note how tiny their wheels are) Its a vehicle designed for lifting cargo not recovering vehicles.

well then forget about flipping apc's why not have them move crates where logistics cant go, and sometimes choppers. they certainly cant be always accurate.

yes because forklifts can go where trucks and choppers cannotwell then forget about flipping apc's why not have them move crates where logistics cant go, and sometimes choppers. they certainly cant be always accurate.

Re: FORKLIFT!!!
It IS in game, but i dont think you'd be able to move the forks up and down at will. Plus as said before, it would most likely explode on contact because of the glitchy ness of the BF2 engine

You can, with a Huey, place a crate inside of nearly any room of a T shaped building.SGT.MARCO wrote:well then forget about flipping apc's why not have them move crates where logistics cant go, and sometimes choppers. they certainly cant be always accurate.
Try getting a forklift to do that...
Anyways, the supply truck driver should know where to drop the crates to be most useful. The Chinnok and MI-8 pilots should understand exactly where the crate pops out when they drop them and use that to anticapte the best drop times.

And wouldn't it be the shift key that had gotten stuck?

The smell, you know that gasoline smell, the whole hill. Smelled like... victory. Someday this war's gonna end... "
