feedback about aircrafts...
Some things that i've noticed while flying in pr...
-The copilot seat of the tornado is kinda confusing, it is like the FLIR camera of the cobra, but it only shows HF LG and HF LT(it doesn't show if it's jdam or maverick), and don't tell how much ammo we have.
-The copilot seat of the SU-30 is confusing too, it's like the FLIR camera of the cobra, but it only shows "HF LG" it doesn't show how much ammo we have, and when we switch the weapon, a menu in the corner >\/ apears(and it shows 2 hellfires, 1 jdam, and 1 maverick), like the vanilla aircrafts....
-The hud of the aircraft is impossible to be read sometimes because of the brightness of the sky and the fog effect...
-in air to air combats if you get locked on you just have time to: eject or die...
-in the A10 and Su-25 when we're with the ROCKETS selected, we can't se lasers like the attack hueys can...
-The J10 is too faster on turnings, it is almost like vanilla aircrafts... but the eurofighter IS TOO SLOW...
-Flares are dropped like bombs, it doesn't fly off the plane like in real life.
-It's TOO hard to hit a huey(for exemple) with an AA, even if it is 100m from the AA, if it lauch the flares the missile immediately change his direction...
-Maybe i'm wrong but, i think that the hellfires flies too fast, and when zoomed it's hard to aim because of the sensivity. A video of a hellfire being used: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xA9Oi7fX9l8
-Sometimes, attack helicopters have problems to stable the helicopter, and most of the times it passes over the target and got to get back for a better angle, the pilot can't see the gunner's hud, it would help them on stabilizing the aircraft. (i really don't know if the pilot can see the gunner hud in real life)
If i said something wrong please let me know...

The Tornado isnt that hard to land, even I can do it without having to jump out.

....there is your problemi'm trying to aproach on 770
iirc you need to get your trust down to approx 40%, which allows you to stay in the air but at minimum velocity.

whats is the minimum velocity? I use the keyboard and mouse to pilot, i can't stay on 40%, but i can stay in a certain velocity if i want by tapping the W in a certain rhythm as i always do...[R-DEV]Rudd wrote:....there is your problem

But the problem isn't the velocity, the problem is that when i cut the power, it's impossible to pull his nose up like the j10 for exemple. He's pretty much easy to brake if you touch the runway without crashing...

The eurofighter lacks a piece of code that allows excess inputs from the mouse to be directed into the aircraft. That's why it doesn't turn as fast when using a mouse. Plus the typhoon should be more agile anyways with it's dual engine arrangement with nearly 10k lbs more thrust and highly aerodynamic delta canard design. Plus the J-10 is just a copy of th Israeli Lavi, which pretty much is a F-16, a highly outdated design compared to the typhoon.

I know that this is meant for people with Joysticks, but you might find it usefull anyway.Epipen wrote:whats is the minimum velocity? I use the keyboard and mouse to pilot, i can't stay on 40%, but i can stay in a certain velocity if i want by tapping the W in a certain rhythm as i always do...

Yeah i used this video for training, but it is from 9.0 and doesn't work for 091... exemple: in the video, on the su-30 it says to aproach on 800 and cut the power 600m from the runway, if we do it on the actual game you go straight to hell...

AFAIK nothing has been changed in aircraft handling from 0.9 to 0.91
It just takes practise to learn.

No, the su-30 changed, at 9.0 when we cut the power the aircraft takes ages to respond, in 0.91 it respond faster...Elektro wrote:AFAIK nothing has been changed in aircraft handling from 0.9 to 0.91

after training on qinling and kashan for like 8 hours i've learned how land all the aircrafts, its really easy... but i only have problems with the su-30 sometimes, and the tornado...
at 40% the tornado gets around 750 of speed, at 750 it's really hard to pull the nose up, if we cut the power it instantly starts going down, i've tried to follow the video tutorial, but it just hits the runway, start bouncing and gets damaged...
the j10 even if it is falling you can pull de nose up so it's Very easy to land...
So... how you do it? i really wanna know...L4gi wrote:The Tornado isnt that hard to land, even I can do it without having to jump out.![]()

Hmm... Thats odd, it doesn't say anything about it in the changelog.

You press F2 or hit ESo... how you do it? i really wanna know...

hehe,in su-30 if you look try to do that landing that the video shows in 0.91, you just crash, so... i think that it changed from 0.9 to 0.91 now it respond so quickly... i don't know..
anyway, i just found a way to land the tornado... i was doing something wrong, now i can land it everytime i try...
thats what i'm doing now:
-i aproach at a low altitude, so i will not have problem with the aircraft not pulling the nose up
-aproach speed at 750
-350m from the runway decrease the speed to 700, at 100m cut the power and try to land the aircraft straight, otherwise it just bounces
thank you guys for helping!

Hi,
use the boost to land so when u cut off the engine the speed will decrease more quickly.
It works good specially with jet like the Tornado but u can do it with all planes as well.
This is a EuroFigther landing video with boost, next time i'll frap the Tornado =)

Re: feedback about aircrafts...
I prefer to just go 800 or so, then about 5-6 seconds to landing I cut power, holding D, start holding down the pitch-up key.
It's somewhat realistic, and usually I'll land at about 600-700 speed. If I'm still at about 750 and I don't seem to be stalling out over the runway, I afterburn and go full power, hope to not bellyflop into some trees or something.
