In game whispering/talk to nearby persons

Hi,

a few years back while I was playing BF2/Project reality mod actively there was discussions about some kind of software that allowed for the "whispering" concept, i.e. standing nearby a soldier would mean that only that soldier could hear you speak (i.e. not simulate a radio, but instead person to person talk). If I remember it correctly, you could press a button and speak, and any nearby persons would hear you if they used the same software. So, you would not just use the ingame radio communication or TeamSpeak to whisper to a specific person. It used the location of the ingame avatars and raised or lowered the volume depending on distance etc.

I'm sure there is some kind of software that does this trick and I'm looking for one that is compatible with Arma 2/VBS 2.

Any help is appreciated.

Also, if TeamSpeak easily can be configured in such a way I would be grateful for how to do it (I'm not into TS). It would probably be enough to have TS configured to a whisper to channel or something. Like, I would like to discuss with a certain person in the game (Guard) I would perhaps bind a key or command just to discuss with the Guard, which is located in another geographical location (but his avatar is in front of me and I don't want my talk to be sent out on the radio channel).
