Windows 7 x64 / Vista x64 Issues

Post by AgentJadeD »

Windows 7 x64 Pro/Ultimate Issues Only
Vista x64 Premium or above Issues Only

I have 4 pc's with different os' on each and older hardware than people even know what is what. XP SP3 x86, and 7 Ultimate x64 with a 3 are clean formats and one upgrade from Vista.

But this way. PR can't be blamed for other users issues.

I have PR installed on all OS's.

Please Direct questions to this sticky.

I have Windows 7 Ultimate and I downloaded and installed the core 0.87 but it doesn't make any shortcuts on my desktop and when I finished installing the Levels it tells me that I need the core file installed, but it is already installed? Any suggestions?

This area is for issues that are not related to PR in any way. Because you are installing PR 0.91, I think you can get more support here:

Hi, im new to the forums.
My issue is trying to install patch 1.41 everytime it reaches 8% the bluescreen of death appears with a 0X0000024 code

I've tried to reinstall it, redownload it, and even reinstalling window 7!
window 7 is patch up, so i dont know what the error could be.
I contacted EA support but they just give me the "Its not windows 7 supported" junk =(

Any ideas or clues as to what might be giving me this crash?

Just installed PR most recent full version on Windows 7 64 bit. BF2 runs fine, but when I try to run PR I get message:

pr.exe has stopped working w/ problem System.IO.DirectoryNotFound I have uninstalled and deleted the pr folder from the BF2 Mods and then reinstalled, still getting the same message.

2nd Look.... the path on the shortcut and the game is

"C:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\pr\pr.exe"

BF2 is similar path and functions fine.

Would the game being in the " program files (x86) " folder have anything to do with it?

I don't know if this is the right thread or not but I didn't find any other so here it goes: I installed bf2 and the patches but everytime I execute the Project Reality 0917 shortcut in my descktop, a black screen pops up, just like the game is executing, and then it goes back to my desckotp and it terminates the game ... I have windows 7 x64. Can anyone help meh? Oh I also noticed, short after I posted this, that the same thing happens when I executed bf2 and bf2 online (both shortcuts on my descktop)

So this is the first time I installed BF2 onto my new Windows 7, and I installed 1.41, 1.5, and all 3 PR .96 and Vanilla or PR won't start up? I just get the project reality popup and then it disappears? It is installed in the x86 folder, is that the correct one?

Yes
Also was it started as admin? Also try deleting the "My Documents>Battlefield 2>Profiles" Folder
