This is probably a very elementary question, so forgive me.
I am trying to change something in GamePlayObjects.con which I was able to do. The problem is after I re-zip the server file and put it back on the server it won't work. The server just starts and stops over and over.
Just to make sure it was not something I changed in the GamePlayObjects.con, I took the original and working server.zip off the server and simply unzipped it and re-zipped it. Same problem...
Obviously there is a very specific way to re-zip. I have tried MANY variation to no avail. ANY help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks.
[?] How to re-zip BF2 Files?

Re: [?] How to re-zip BF2 Files
Well, origially i had changed a line in the GamePlayObjects.con but that isn't the issue. Even if I change NOTHING (simply unzip the server.zip and re-zip it and put it back on the server) the server will load the map until you would click "join game" and crashes, CTD.
Arggg. so there must be a special way to re-zip a server file for it to work.

Re: [?] How to re-zip BF2 Files
if you are just changing GPOs just drag your edited GPO in to the appropriate gamemode and layer folder in teh server.zip, e.g. gamemodes/gpm_cq/64
you only need to rezip entire .zips when you are actually working on the map itself tbh.
in which case use this
