the 5 second delay for scoped rifles is realistic. have u ever tried to sight in a target 20 meters away with a scoped rifle? it takes time.
Tbh yeah, took about 1-2 seconds depending on the target.

The deviation isn´t realistic, thats been said before, its trying to represent many factors other than just scoping in.
"Today's forecast calls for 30mm HE rain with a slight chance of hellfires"

I did this once on Ramiel a few days ago. I played as insurgent, took a technical with a mate and drove off. We saw one marked mine on the road we were going, 80-100 meters further down the same road there was an unmarked mine which we didn't see in time so we went boom. I did not punish the TK, but the dude who placed the mine yelled "noob" and all that at me, even though I told him he placed an unmarked mine so I couldn't be the one to blame for blowing it up. It was a well placed mine too, hidden well under a stone or something. Very hard to see. Anyway, his defense was "The mine further up the road was marked, and you can only mark one mine/round!"

If this is true or not, I don't know. But I was the one who made the mistake according to him.

Unfortunately my joystick stopped working, and now I am without one. In vBF2, I've gotten pretty good at flying the attach chopper with the keyboard, but what about PR. Is it worth trying to fly with a keyboard, or should I wait for my replacement joystick before starting to practice flying on a training server.
Please, don't say that you are a god at flying in VBF2, it get's you no where in PR, but for me, the only way to fly, is with my Saitek X52, wait for your replacement

He was telling the truth. Best bet is not to go over road statics where mine can be consealed.

Was called an idiot.

A trend I seem to see a lot, even when I first joined a few weeks ago. Overall, I was helped by a -ton- of nice people, but damn, it was very discouraging with the name calling, especially on servers where "Maturity is required"

/end rant.

Just practice, everyone does stupid things once in a while in game, I'm sure the Devs have a few stories of how they've messed up on the game.

At the end of the day, we all play for fun, TKs happen and it is those that proclaim to be "mature" that seem to be the biggest babies when it comes to forgive and forget.

all it is that you have to practice and practice and then when you start to improve you will master it in no time or just stay well clear of flying a jet but if you are good at flying choppers fly them instead and us the rest of the game transport and what they have to offer.

Exactly the kind of comment that doesn't belong. I believe it IS the mod for him, as he decided it was.

Tired of people putting new players down all the time, without new guys coming into the game we will all eventually get bored of playing the same ppl every day and leave.

Just keep practicing and don't jump into a trans roll if you're not 110% sure u can handle any situation thrown at you. Getting shot down with a full inf squad is going to result in flames, no matter how experienced you are.

1. if it was the Huey, thats understandable. my advice: once you think its warmed up, give it another 30 seconds.

2. if the mine was marked and your were warned about it in team chat your at fault. howoever, it sounds like they overeacted.

edit: wow fuzzy, i didnt even notice. who the hell keeps necroing all thse threads?!!?!

I have nothing other than keyboard and mouse to fly with, and I fly helicopters all the time!
I have an old joystick i plugged in a couple weeks ago, once I got a feel for it after a couple tries it felt wonderful, sadly that thing is so messed up it's impossible to fly with as well as I do with my mouse, I'm hoping to get a joystick in the near future :P

To the OP: I love to fly and I do it all the time (my favorite is the huey), feel free to fly with me and I can give you some tips, I spend most of my time on Veterans Gaming Coop server (I'm still ashamed of myself for playing coop so much, I almost never get in deployment, but I tried a helo in a deployment local server once and it felt pretty similar, just much faster and a little more twitchy.) You'll either see me with the same name I have here, or as Z.Smith[3rdID]

same, in my squad people can make mistakes, they can completely screw up, they just can't run off by themselves or act like a tard. mistakes happen, how we deal with mistakes is what makes us men!

"What's the advantage of these choppers when compared to a squad medic?"

Pirate

"Medics dont have rotors."
