VOIP disables itself unless I plug in a mic

Post by Leopardi »

I don't have a mic anymore, but I can't even listen to what other say to me because the VOIP just retardedly disables itself unless there is a mic plugged in. I have the onboard Supreme X-Fi card. Is there any way to have VOIP?

this might be a driver issue, some sound cards detect wether or not a microphone is plugged in, maybe you can trick your software to think its plugged in

else I am inclined to think this might be a windows 7 issue as it fiddles around with voip programs on its own as a feature

also: please clearify which voip you are talking about (bf2 ingame voip?)
when you say "disables itself" do you mean the "voip" checkbox in bf2 audio settings is unticked and can't be activated anymore?
