Hi, i just got a problem - tearing. It only happens on some maps like Seige of Odfgjdsflkj or Al Basrah. And when i look in certain directions. i know someone has posted a thread but it is really old and nobody had a definite solution. Could someone help me out please? ive tied turning Vsync on but that has had no effect. What do you think it is?
thanks

Re: Graphics Problem: Tearing
Tearing can also be caused by SLI or Crossfire afaik, if you are using 2 gfx cards they will (at least for SLI it appears fixed) use alternating frame rendering. I am not aware of a fix for this particular problem and I think that untill a driver update fixes it there will be none.
Althoug I am not sure of the technical prinzipals "Tripple Buffering" is supposed to enhance VSYNC so you might want try to set this one to "on".
you could also try fiddling with your BF2 output frames:
I found that a higher max FPS-rate decreased the tearing effect for me (although I have no explaination as to why) the console command for this is: "game.lockFPS <frames>"
