Who else misses hunting rallypoints?

Post by Vanya »

Calling to you with it's chatter.
One little stick would shorten any brawl.
The enemy realizing their blunder.
Knew they would go down once and for all.
Shortening your time amongst us by far did not disappoint.
Oh but how I miss hunting the rallypoit.
↑↑↑Was a little bored.↑↑↑

Don't get me wrong, I downright love the direction you guys took with the rally system. But does anyone else miss that little surprise of finding one. That and the knowledge that (after knifing it) you may have just lowered an enemy squad's morale.

I know there is a slim chance of still finding one and taking it out. On the other hand the way it is set up know I can't even fathom how great it would be to take one out now.

"I love the smell of napalm in the morning. You know, one time we had a hill bombed, for 12 hours. When it was all over, I walked up. We didn't find one of 'em, not one stinkin' dink body. The smell, you know that gasoline smell, the whole hill. Smelled like... victory. Someday this war's gonna end... "

To be honest I was like: "OOOH RIGHT! Thats what PR used to be like!" when I saw your thread title. So I dont seem to be missing it hehehe.

I liked it when it was in tho. Ok guys we defeated them, lets find there rally before they spawn in again! But this new direction is cooler.

I hated the new system when it first came out. Now I wonder why I hated it so much because it is so much better.

This.

It was really immersive and realistic to search for pile of sacks every corner and bush to not get lemming rushed by enemy squad which you just killed... :|

Definitely don't miss it.

i dont miss hunting rallypoints but i miss that with rally, people chose different routes to objectives.
but now squads take just shortest route to the objective.

I dont miss it at all. It was kinda weird that a small room held a platoon worth of infantery. Only drawback to the current system is overoptimistic squadleaders which for some reason think he is leading some kind of 1337 3lite force that is going to take down 3 enemy squads find the cache and be back in time to safe christmas and therefore does not think of taking a supply truck along to build a fob just in case.

Hunting rallies was extremely fun. Stab rally, move to nearby cover/concealment, then destroy the enemy squad when they came to find me.

Was extremely gamey though, I definitely don't miss it

I enjoyed people coming from all directions, now they come from the same place... Which is nice for ambushing since I only play OpFor

That is how I feel about it. It was great while it lasted but we've moved on to bigger and better things.

It was good change. But today some peoples just drive around and when they see enemy FOB they just drive trought defenses(especially in open areas)and knife the FOB whitout surviving themself. I think disabling FOB should take more time to prevent this.

rallies? uumm....i guess no. What i do miss and im sorry in advance is real team medics those i used to see back in 0.6 that not only cared about healing and revive their own squad but any mate that could be hurt around his position, nowadays if you get wounded and a medic is 10 meters away from you...just give up because you are death!!

Im sorry for the off topic but just happened to me several times lately and started to think that way...

If I'm not busy / under fire, I'll help anyone from any squad, as long as they yell for a medic and/or ask me over mumble/teamchat and it doesn't take me too long to get there/search them. When defending an objective for example, I end up healing and reviving more blues than greens. If I have enough epipens, that is. Was alot easier to just go and revive someone before the epipens came around.

i found i very funny, and the gameplay had far more action than now.
but it was very unrealistic, so the change was good for PR imo.
however the roll of a rallypoint has been downgraded too much imo, it would be better if it didnt dissappear after 1 min, spawning there should disabled after 1-2min but it should still give as much ammo as an ammo box has before it deissappears
