Op. Barracuda Night:


First, we'll start with Operation Barracuda Night, which you can download from:

Test it, you may need to set settings to medium if you crash (cause of NVG).

Al Basrah Night:

This map doesn't have NVG cause of problems with some statics and NVG.

You may be getting about 300ms... we don't have high ping kick activaded, you may try,

Have you ever played PR with NVG, you cant see shit, especially when the map is not good lightened, which is the case on OP. Barracuda. :-|

Of yourse, could be the "set lighting to medium" issue, damn Nvidia.

I hope this will be on some european server as well... Cause with a 300 Ping you can't play :)

Well, that's the thing with normal NVG's in real life. It takes available light and amplifies it. When there's not much light to be had, not much can be seen.

Its not about that. The BF2 engine doesn't make use of dynamic lighting on static lights. that means, if the light source is a lamp on a building, you cant see anything even with NV. You have to add the light sources "by hand".

its all about lightlightlight. And if you talk about NV IRL, the moon + stars are enough to amplify :D

Oh, okay. Well, I tried the maps out a few moments ago, and from what I could tell, they looked fine. They even added a little weather to Op Barracuda, what with the thunder storm.

Though, my only complaint is that a kit is selectable from spawn menu I don't agree with ... the Marksman kit. One it promotes sniping and stuff like that, two, the Chinese marksman kit, when selected in spawn menu, will kill you upon spawn. You will have to chose a different kit to spawn.

Other than that, the maps are fine.

I've downloaded the barracuda night version, it looks really good and i liked to use the nvg as a helicopter pilot :]

My feedback:

the map is kinda bright in close range, so theres no diference between being using the nvg or not, but in long range you can't see anything so the nvg allows you to see in longer ranges. The nvg has too much noise, it's kinda hard to see things...

In my opinion i think that the map should look darker, so we would need to use nvg in close distances, and remove the noise on the night vision, or atleast put less noise...

They do if you buy a cheapo pair of NVG's or you're referring to 1950's tech. Modern day military tech can do much better than that...

I saw images of helicopters in the night map. Do the vehicles have an NVG feature as well? Flying unaided would be a *****...

Yeah, we can use the nvg inside every vehicle, helicopters.. apcs...
