I am asking this question because I am not sure if some people are reading their FPS correctly. I'd like to know why I am only getting between 45-100 FPS when other people are saying that they get a constant 100.. etc?
I always test my frame rate using Fraps, and always test it on a 64 player server. I am just not sure if some players believe they get a good FPS because they have tested this out on a server that they created for themselves and with only them on it, or if indeed they are getting a constant 100FPS and higher.
I have tested the game using all sorts of setting from medium setting to high. However, I still get between 45-100 on some maps. Usually the insurgent maps around citys. Is this normal for my rig? Specs below.
Cpu i7 930 Oberclocked to 4.0 Ghz
Gigabyte motherboard
6 gig Ram
Windows7 Ultimate 64bit
Geforce 460GTX

hi,
please add your resolution, aa and texture filtering adjustments.
but its absolutly normal that you have 40-60 on some and constant 100fps on other maps. thats simply map related in many ways.
if people say they get better fps in solo sp game, thats explainable, but doesnt mean they have better computers. you would see an fps increase aswell, if you try the same thing.
according fraps:
imo fraps isnt the best program for measuring fps, i use xfire and the ingame fps counter you can show by entering "renderer.drawfps 1" into your console (first value: fps, 2nd: cg ms/frame (irrelevant for normal use)).

game.lockfps 500 in console. Will increase FPS if it blocks at 100.
If you have an FPS ~20ish higher than your refresh rate, then increase graphical settings. If it is maxed all the way, well, you should be fine

Re: Does Anyone Else Get These FPS 45-100?
standard fps lock is 100
you can change this, also make sure your V-sync is turned off, this causes fps to freeze.
for example.
if you have a 75HZ refresh rate, and V sync is ON, you will only get a max of 75 Fps.

Sounds about right. People who say they can run all maps with high graphics at a constant 100FPS with similar or sometimes even lower spec PC's are lying.
