The server has refused your connection

Post by RKDragon »

I don't know why I am getting this message, but I can't login to the game (just downloaded and installed it). BF2 login seems to work, but I can't play PR because of this error message, any helpers out here?

Try joining a regular BF2 server.
Also: make sure everything is up-to-date (BF2 patches 1.41 and 1.5 [in that order])
you might also have to allow BF2 in your firewall

On BF2 regular servers the entry is without any problems, playing BF2 is not a problem.
My game is up to date and has been installed in the correct order.
My computer including my anti-virus program allow both BF2, Project Reality mod, and other components to work without any firewall interference and without any other obstructions.

See why I have a problem here? Login is correct (ID name and password) but still I get the same message from logging in via "Project Reality 0917.exe" on the login screen.
Why would the server refuse connection via PR but not when logging in using the original BF2 game?

Double check you have downloaded the current version of PR. Afaik there is no file named "Project Reality 0917.exe" they are either named something with "install" (for installers) or "pr.exe" for the actual game.

Also you might want to look at this thread, which might prove your current problem as "deprecated".
