The canadian LAV-3 is just ridiculously offcentered.=Toasted= wrote: What I am trying to get at, is that you have to take care of the vehicles you have. Don't drive them over uneven/risky terrain, and you shouldn't really have a problem in the first place. It adds to the realism imo.
But Wikipedia here...
The LAV III's turret gives the vehicle a higher centre of gravity than the vehicle was initially designed for. This has led to concerns that the vehicle is more likely to roll over on uneven terrain.
While there have been several recorded rollovers (about 12), the most common cause was found to be unstable terrain, specifically road shoulders unexpectedly giving away beneath the vehicle.[8] The weight balance of the LAV III is taken into consideration during driver training, largely mitigating the chances of a rollover.
Well we could just add a new "weapon" to the average logi truck, how about that?Unarmed Civilian wrote:I think the only way to do this somewhat realistic would be creating a "Salvage Truck", similar to the logi truck and it's possibility to pick the role of a "Repair Crew". So basically, it would drop a kind of crane, similar to "drop repair station", and the crane should be player operated. The player would target and lock the flipped vehicle and then "fire at it". After some few minutes, let's say 2 or 3, the vehicle would be realocated on the same spot, but now unflipped.
Edit: By the way, I'm talking about a small crane, not those we find in game nowdays...
