kiowa and lack of weapon pylons?

Post by Alucard »

im just curious why the OH-58D KW model in the game has no weapon pylons now i do love the fact that the place holder of the AH-6 is finally gone for the OH-58D KW but the model its self is not correct in pylons i seen it firing guns in the trailer im going to assume they were m296 HMG's however on the OH-58 ingame there is no correct pylons all it has is the hydra pods attached to it so without the pylons where is the M2?

notice in this picture the pylons and the M2 attached to them along with the 2.75 rockets

the reason im interesting in this is in the army i have hopes of becoming a pilot of one of these babies also i'd like to know if the pylons are in the works if the devs have any intention of making a hellfire variant for maps like qwai where they have so many apc's vs our tow humvee.... i think a hellfire kiowa would even the score a bit

I have flown one of these on Dunems Baghdad map and it does have a M2 and Rocket pods.
Its only has 1 of each so while it has the same amount of ammo for its gun as the littlebird (500 rounds i believe) it only has 7 rockets.

provided thats what you was asking about.

nah what im saying is theres a lack of weapon pylons on the kiowa as in there are no pylons on it there just attached to the side of the aircraft and the reason i wanna know if the pylons are in the works is because without the pilots you couldn't add hellfires or stingers which the kiowa uses

edit: heres one with a hellfire on its pylons

oh i see i didn't notice that not exactly the most accurate duplication of the kiowa's pylons i didn't think it had pylons cause of the fact that its so close to the kiowa vs the real pylons pushing the weapons quite a bit away from it sorry

  • 1 x Hydra 70 Pod
Alternate

Most likely not. It's a balance issue.

SP? :D Where the pilot can hover and effectively switch to a FLIR camera and fire 2-4 hellfires????
I want the pilot to do it because the Bots fly like shit and I'm too tired of taking commands on a CO-OP server. Even though its a co..op..server...
