this way every one has the equal chance to start playing 0.95 at the same time. Not like in the old days whent 10 ppl have the game in 5 min and a 100 ppl will have it next day. Also there are ppl that complain that they cant download the game in time cos of slow download speeds and they cant leave their PC on overnight to download it in time.

Well these files are the exception, its safe. You just gotta know what you want to download and from where. If its a link from the devs here, the preload in this matter, than I dont think you got anything to worry about.

lol

i don't think you understand what torrents are

they're files and just as trustable as any other download

torrents only have a bad name because pirates tend to use them due the ease

Torrent is just a way of downloading the same program from multiple sources at a time. (decrease strain and bandwith issues)

The only way you can get a virus from a torrent is if EVERYONE ELSE also has that virus. Therefore, you not trusting this specific torrent means you assume the 1000 odd people torrenting it (uploading and downloading) have gotten a virus that is inside PR v .95.

Even if a virus was in the torrent it would also be in the file you would download off of ModDB or file planet so you just wouldn't be safe no matter what.

Not a real edit: Don't hate on the devs for releasing the preload in a way you don't feel safe about getting.
