My first time on this server was last night. Great fun and good teamwork. Would have liked to see more then 1 other person on mumble though.

Re: ]CIA[ Langley (North America)
Any changes suggested will be implemented in 24 hour cycles starting every day at 1600PRT.
I am looking into re-applying our old BF2CCD setup, which would allow me direct access to the Server console, instead of the current setup where the server installs as a service, hidden from view. This will allow me greater access to on-the-fly admin, but because the console shows up on the desktop (allowing my inexperienced admins to inadvertently close or tamper with the server) and CCD is notorious for crashing PR servers, I believe we will have to upgrade our service software to something much different.
As Always, please send us suggestions, we are willing to try anything, within reason.

Also, we are experimenting with a Maplist configuration I like to call ASSINSKIRMISH or AIS.
This setup is designed with our long term, seeding supporters of the server in mind, the idea being that people love/hate AAS, people love/hate Insurgency, and people we find like to have a run and gun break from PR every few hours, so we have added skirmish directly into the lineup to allow for such a break from the norm. Lol, and I find it very interesting to see 64 players jammed into tiny places or what are normally Vanilla maps.
Skirmish, AAS, Insurgency, Skirmish, AAS, Insurgency, Skirmish etc. is the lineup.
What do you think of this method, and if you approve, which maps would you like to see in the line-up?

Re: ]CIA[ Langley (North America)
Not a bad server at all had some good games the last few days its been populated.
Just one gripe though.
Who are the real admins here CIA or USC?
CIA seem to know what thay are doing but USC (ill be blunt) Seem slightly retarded. for example:
(this is 2 days ago)
Taking every asset on a map because thay put a USC member as commander.Said commander giving some of the most retarded orders Iv seen witch resulted in A whole team dieing at once to a garry appart from my squad whos SL refused to follow his orders and was threatend with our whole squad being banned from the server if we didnt comply.so we reluctently did and died alot.
Later in the game the whole clan rage quit and than we had a real good game.
Also see alot of ban threats for all kind of strange reasons comming from them.
Had some great games last night with CIA in charge had all what you would expect from a good server freindly competent admins good rules fun map rotation.
Good luck with the server I will be comming back.

Please let us know who did what and I will deal with them promptly.
None of my admins are to threaten, period. We are either nice and understanding or we un-sheathe our ban hammers.
I'll be having a talk with UCS and I might be suspending Admin privileges.
Thank your for the heads up and the feedback and we hope to see you again

I feel your pain, but I have a question, isn't there like a "Mutiny" button as a SL under the Squad Selection screen? I think I saw it some time ago...

Re: ]CIA[ Langley (North America)
Just thought I would post my review. Won't play in the CIA server ever again. I joined yesterday and asked if the Kiowa was the helicopter and no one responded. I asked if I could take it and no one responded. I then jumped in the chopper and was in there for 5 seconds before I was warned and yelled at for asset stealing. I then explained I asked if it was reserved and no one would answer me. People were spamming the chat with other stuff so I was using all caps (as well as another CIA person whom was using all caps to yell at me). so I was then warned again for using all caps.
Overall my experience is admins don't seem to have respect for the community and it is always their way or the highway without listening to input or reason.

We need the name of this admin, so the proper ''interrogation'' tactics can be used on them. (afterall, we're the CIA)Spectral wrote:Just thought I would post my review. Seriously though, I'm sorry you had a bad experience with our server, and we need the name of the CIA member(s) involved.
EDIT: I hope you reconsider and give us another chance, but if not then we respect your decision not to play on our servers, as I would be quite discouraged if a similar instance happened to me.

Re: ]CIA[ Langley (North America)
All in all, this server is great to play on and the community is a rather good one. Ive had some of my best PR experiences on this server. Like a couple weeks ago on Operation Archer, I believe, I hit a Canadian LAV from about 350-400m away with a HAT RPG.
Fun server, fun players, what more can you ask for? Oh wait, you ask for tactical play too! Every time I go to this server Iv'e always seen good team work. And the admins are forgiving from what Iv'e seen. I was on mumble messing around with my voice pretending to be some one I was not, and the admins caught me about it and thought I was disrespecting one of their members. I explained that I meant no offence and was simply trying to light up the mood. Being forgiven, we then had a great round ending in our teams victory

Re: ]CIA[ Langley (North America)
All I have to say is you guys need to play skirmish more. I know you enjoy populating your server and I know that sometimes an INS map or AAS will be the best choice to populate, but there is a time and place. When the server list has 3+ servers with 30-40 people on AAS/Ins maps, going to an ins map with 20~ people won't populate. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE PLAYING SKIRMISH WITH YOU GUYS. But I hate playing INS/AAS with 20 people, it's pointless. The other night we played a round of dragonfly with less than 20 and you guys switched to Gaza INS and we left and obviously the server didn't populate after we left cause it was empty an hour later.
Skirmish is fun with less than 30 people, lots of action, not much downtime, and it attracts good players that want to get inf combat. While I agree that skirmish is not always the best choice to attract players, it is usually the right choice 85% of the time with less than 30 players. Once you have 30 players, pop it on asad khal and watch it flourish. I'm not trying to tell you how to run your server, I am merely suggesting that you guys play skirmish more as it A) helps pop better at lower numbers B) is more fun when populating C) promotes skill and tactics at the squad level not lonewolf, run and gunning searching for caches.
Plus you guys are pretty good at the game so it's nice to have a challenge on skirmish once in a while ^_^. Compared to other servers which are euro so perform poorly or servers that don't attract good players.

We need more Pounds in the server to make it respectable like.
