Do I not have enough computer

I've been reading post here on FPS and am having a problem with PR. When running say AIX I get in the 50's fps but with PR I'm in the low 30's and sometimes drop to single digits. Do I not have enough computer. It seems like some people are running pr on older systems and are doing ok. Anything I should check. Thanks for any help.

This is stealing half your total 3 gigs of ram. Meaning you are only running the whole of your OS win7 and PR with 1.5 gigs of ram. Go into your BIOS and change that setting to something like 768MB. That should see you right. But that GFX card is a bit slow the task anyway.

But seriously, PR is a demanding mod. Try putting more stuff down like Geo and especially Textures.

He's already running on medium to low. I'm not a hardware guru, but his system doesn't look too bad? Not sure on the gfx card...

Is your hdd-light flickering constantly / a lot when playing? If so, check the size of your page file and of course, run a disk defragger regularly.

Ok, I'm fairly good with computers but have never messed with the BIOS. Could you give me an Idea on changeing that to get it down to 768. Thanks for all the quick replys guys. That is one thing I've noticed in my short time in the pr fourms. Not hard here to get help.

512mb vram would still be more than enough considering that the GPU chip really is low end and can't use that much ram

Lower your graphics settings, there isn't too much else you could do that hasn't been mentioned.

Turn off unnecessary programs running in the background to free up resources before you start PR.

Running at 1024x768 should get you above 25 fps almost on any machine.
Make sure your drivers are up-to-date. Newer drivers usually increase performance because of some optimizations. DO NOT use the "Windows Update" drivers. Those generally do not suffice gaming purposes and hinder your hardware. Go to ATI to get the latest driver.

Each BIOS is differently customized and depends on the brand and model of your mainboard. I suggest consulting your mainboards manual.

Weii I'm seeing that it really matters what map it is. In Asad Khal my fps is in the 60-80. In Muttrah City some times it falls into the teens.
