Yea thats true, the army is usually the ones that get all the new equipment.
(just in case anyone here's in the army don't take this offensively in any way)

+ I personally choose ironsight over red dot/Eotech any day, the less tacticool on my rifle the better, just a matter of taste.

My first move will probably be starting a local round on a militia based map, request an alternative AR kit and spray everywhere with my M60. Can't wait
