I have intentions on making this post so that the word "Hardcoded" is not spammed on the forums, especially the suggestions pages, because they don't know things about coding, or that it is Hard-To-Code. No, I'm not ragging on admins or devs, as they actually know what things are and aren't (most of the time ^^) actually hardcoded.

Re: "Hardcoded"
Point made, the *** thread needs to be updated.
Many of the things contained on that list are there because in the past the knowledge and skills necessary to make something possible have not been available. Much of the time, that's still the case, and there are many things that simply cannot be changed. However, as Bob Dylan would say, the times are changing.
Locked.

The smell, you know that gasoline smell, the whole hill. Smelled like... victory. Someday this war's gonna end... "

Re: "Hardcoded"
Just to emphasize as the OP did. please do not suggest things that are listed as hardcoded in the suggestion forum even if you think they may be possible.
When we say hardcoded it doesn't mean it's impossible, but rather that we have not deduced a means to do it properly yet (and may never will). The suggestion forum on the other hand is really meant for creative ideas that may not require much/any development experience to come up with.
If you think you have a way something that is listed as hardcoded can be done, then post about it in the community modding forum or contact the dev team about it if you have credible experience in that aspect of the bf2 engine.
That is all...
