Special feature yet to be revealed?

I read a post a Dev said there was a major feature that hasn't been revealed yet.

It is killing me, what is it ><
Will we get to know release day? or will people just have to figure it out, is it obvious?

or is it a hoax?

Thermals I believe.

Everything has been released, which is why the changelog is out.

what your talking about is the new map grid and waypoints/compass .... that was afaik the major feature that has yet to be revealed.

But as said, the changelog was released. Im sure it would be listed

It uses a custom shader to render bundled meshes differently then other 3d elements. He also made functionality in the shader for applying custom thermal imaging skins for certain bundled meshes (eg heat signatures).

Which reminds me, he did something much much more impressive for this release which we have yet to reveal...

The changelog hasn't included everything that will be released, so I wouldnt be suprised if the suprise is still under wraps. My evidence of not all changes being logged is the coop gameplay video uploaded a while ago. It clearly shows beirut being played against bots. This new coop map upgrade was not mentioned in the changelog and beirut didnt have bot support in 0.91, so its a change, yet it hasnt been logged.

Back on topic, my guess would be that whatever this suprise is, its going to be huge enough that we'll know for sure what it is when it comes ;)

Hmm, maybe i'm wrong but, i didn't see in the changlog which aircrafts will be used by the idf... what aircrafts the idf is going to get?

about the secret... it is ... i guess... :mrgreen: B-2 SPIRIT !!

It's gotta be something done by Mosquill that is bigger than FLIR, only thing I have seen new and not announced officially is dynamic sky.

Personally I would love that, nothing more epic than a battle going down during a sunset but only time will tell.

It's the new 2D Marker system which was very difficult to get working, but Mosquill managed it.

2D MARKER SYSTEM!!!

lol

It uses the same method as mumble does to get positional information but it gets different information that allows for 2d markers.

Hopefully there will be more cool stuff like this in the future for both mumble and PR as we delve more into this field. Just about everything for .95 has already been revealed.
