Age for Project Reality?
Okay I am kind of embarrassed as this might ruin my reputation on this forum, but I am 13 years old. I am not terrible at the game, nor am I a complete noob. I respect teamwork and am a valuable squad member. Most people respect me and I have even lead a few successful squads. But as soon as an age discussion comes up, either I am kicked from a squad or everyone leaves me. Here's my question. Should I leave PR and come back in a few years? Or should I stay? Thanks, and I would really miss not checking the newsfeed first thing every day.

I stay say, if some jerks kick you off JUST because of age and not how you act that's there fault, I started playing when I was 12. And people thought I was in my 20s until I used my mic

Welcome to the forums.
Just try and play as maturely as possible and the players that you actually want to play with will respect you and will "allow" you to play with them. If players leave you purely because of your age, you don't want to be playing with them in the first place. Keep on playing man.

Buddy its all up to you.
Wait.....*epic music here*
Don't give a F*** what others think.... I've met my share of younguns in this game, some are more mature then the 20 year olds.
If they say get off, ask yourself this how mature are they?

Re: Age for Project Reality?
No its all based on your actions and what you do not your age. If you have been playing with maturity and know the game and don't act immaturely when your playing or violate rules in the game your fine. Just keep doing your best man no one is perfect in PR not even adults. If you feel you are valuable squad member and don't disrupt the game its all good. But by no means do you have to stop playing just because your 13.TheBobJeff wrote:Okay I am kind of embarrassed as this might ruin my reputation on this forum, but I am 13 years old. Are you really going to stop doing something you enjoy because someone on the interwebs gave you some grief?
"I respect teamwork and am a valuable squad member" This is the attitude of members we need in our community. Keep up the good work and dont let 'em get you down man.

Re: Age for Project Reality?
I must admit a non broken voice dont fill me with confidence but I would give you a chance before writing you off as I myself being a non mic user dont fill ppl with confidence either
.
May sound odd but your age may limit you in a similer way that im limited not having a mic.
I cant SL crew tanks or attack chopper's.I mean I could do those things well but if anything went wrong a mic would be to blame in the same way your age will.
Im not saying dont do those things just showing you a similer situation and what I do in it.You may take a different route its up to you but dont stop playing over it.
Edit* I dont not use a mic because of age im 25.

Re: Age for Project Reality?
I've had my *** x9001 chewed out of me for using my mic the last two years because I sounded super super young. No matter how I acted.
But with PR at least, we care about your behavior instead of age.
Act like a ****, be treated as so.

Re: Age for Project Reality?
I will be totally honest: don't scream over VOIP.
Now, I have no issue whatsoever with 13-year-older. Hell, I'm 16, and started playing at 13!
Just make sure you ain't annoying, and when you turn 14, you'll see... I asked people to guess my age over mic... Some of the answers I got:
"Twenty....something?"
"24"
"around 30?"
"Man...... you.... you sound old!"
So just nevermind about your age, really. Just don't be annoying over VOIP
See you in-game!
(P.S. The best SM I've ever had in PR, privetdoodles, was I think 12 or 13 when I first met him.)
And behavior on the forums... Well, I guess, just don't spam-a-lot like I do and you'll be just fine

Re: Age for Project Reality?
You are welcome in the PR Community of course. As long as you act as you should do, I've seen people twice your age act 5 years old .... so I wouldnt worry.
If you get any grief on Servers because of purely your age, either take it to the Server Admin, or feel free to pm me pal.

I personally don't see any set age for PR, It's more of how your behavior is.

Well dude I'm 16 and I've seen 20's act like their playing cod. But if as long as you don't act like the kids on COD, which I hope PR a big step up from it, your fine.

Ill say you have to keep playing, there is still people out there that is willing to help you to improve your gaming tactics, personally i dont care how your voice sounds like if you do what you are supposed to do (tactically speaking), besides if you play with mature gamers since an early age you will grow as healthy, strong and mature as most people nowadays should be. (A MATURE GAMER)

Re: Age for Project Reality?
I must admit, hearing a young voice in any game is annoying for me. Maybe you should try talking in the lowest tone possible? And only talking when totally necessary. See if that helps.
