[0957] My first expierience

Hi, first thing I did when I installed new version was going to singleplayer, first time sometimes I get glitches when I can't zoom in, it starts glitching, second I game really lags for me, older 0.91 ran smoothly. Is it something to do with shaders? Please help me, I am big fan of PR.

What's your specs, and what settings do you run the game on?

Which maps did you try, how many bots?

I played with 48 bots, my specs are:
Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit
4 Gbs RAM
Interl Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.40 Ghz
ATI Radeon HD 5700 Series

On 0.91 I could ran perfectly on medium (1280x1024 60Hz) AA off.
First I tried on Lashkar Valley, then Gaza Beach.
I set everything low only resolution kept same, tried on Beirut, ran much better, but still sometimes it glitched

Well Laskar is one of those maps dude, tons of things on a 2K map will make you lag,
same with Gaza, lots of buildings and that.

Try maps like Asad Khal Jabal al Burj
and a few others with not that much grass and cities. Tell us if it is better or worse.

And if you get it better on those try Dragonfly if it is still in game....try Lan deployment btw.

Problem= Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit
32 bit systems can not use more than 4 gigs of ram.
(3 gigs or less is available to the 32 bit system on average with 512 video cards, less with larger/multiple cards)

"The 4GB limit refers to total addressable memory space and not just the RAM installed. It?s a total made up of system RAM, graphics RAM, PCI memory range, ACPI and a few other bits and pieces. And if you think that your system RAM is the only significant factor, think again. You can buy graphics cards fitted with 1GB or RAM, and if you wanted (and had the spare cash!) you could fit three of these into a system. There?s not a 1 to 1 relationship between graphics memory consuming system RAM, but the larger the memory, the more the card sets aside for itself. Now that 4GB limit doesn?t leave you a lot of space for system RAM"

My advice:
Upgrade to 64 bit O/S as soon as you can.
Bump your page file till then.
(1.5 x real ram is a good start. min and max set the same will reduce fragmentation of page file)
