0.95 COOP
How come every time PR gets updated COOP loses something? Now we can't fly/operate certain vehicles on certain maps without bots? C'mon man are you serious?
Is there a way for us to get rid of that feature?
Other than that we love it. Thank you guys for all your hard work.

Re: 0.95 COOP
Karbala was apparently given only bot-aircraft by mistake, although various maps have had assets deliberately restricted to bots.
I'm against bots using aircraft full stop. For all it's worth they just waste helicopters and carpet bomb excessively. The whole 'bot-friendly' aircraft issue could be resolved better by simply leaving the flying up to real players.
As the most popular COOP server (VG) is a human team vs bot team config, giving bots their own reserved aircraft is particularly inappropriate. They'll just sit around unused and confuse players.
Although this is in a way '0.95 feedback' it regards COOP in general as it has existed since 0.9. The usage of bot-orientated aircraft by players isn't a new issue, the latest 'solution' certainly is.
Replacing them with normal player-orientated aircraft would be more sensible than awkwardly restricting them to bots.

What's the point in getting a single-seat vehicle? That's so useless.
You can always get a bot to drive or gun for you
Or make friends.

We don't allow solo use of those types of Aircraft in our Severs. ^ Great post! So restricting these assets to Bots just screwed over my entire community.Snazz wrote:Karbala was apparently given only bot-aircraft by mistake, although various maps have had assets deliberately restricted to bots.

Re: 0.95 COOP
The bot aircraft was restricted, so people would stop complaining about 'helis that handle weird', I guess instead of that we now get 'omg why can't I fly this'.Veterans-Gaming wrote: Now we can't fly/operate certain vehicles on certain maps without bots?

Do note that stuff like one usable CAS chopper and one unusable chopper on Muttrah is intended, what will the bots fly when humans play as MEC? OPFOR co-op also exist you know.
I admit there was a huge screw up due the way we handle our levels repo where a bunch of COOP files got reverted or went missing and some stuff nobody came across got through, that won't be a problem as we're changing the way we handle the repo now.
0.9 was just as bug riddled as 0.95 is and you'll probably see a 0.96 patch fixing this, like the 0.91 patch did.
Additionally, I plan to fix up and add more COOP support for the patch and there should be a map pack somewhere that needs to be released
Correct and apologies, the map was intended to have assets for both bots and humans, don't how how that got there.Snazz wrote:Karbala was apparently given only bot-aircraft by mistake, although various maps have had assets deliberately restricted to bots.
The single seat vehicles are meant for bots to stop them from soloing two man tanks where they just drive them around. And bots are barely any good as drivers or gunners and most of the time you may find bots have their own ideas.Dev1200 wrote:What's the point in getting a single-seat vehicle? That's so useless.

Yes you can, be more specific. You can't request them from oneman vehicles, yes, but that's it. You should be able to request them from everywhere else (two man APCs, crates, depos).HeXeY wrote:I can't request kits on COOP...

I forgot bout the 0.91 patch/fix, hoping this gets the same uplift. More coop support would be excellent too(just for the record, bring back korengal!)

Re: 0.95 COOP
you could never request kits off 1 man vehicals. and honestly, i kinda like these coop changes. its takes more of the vanilla out of PR.HeXeY wrote:I can't request kits on COOP...
now people(myself included) wont spend 2 minutes swiming out to the LAV off the carrier on Muttrah, now an AAV i assume. then spend another 5 minutes driving it in.Its easier just to fly in, cap the flag, and find a friend who will take the 2 man with you.
plus people need to learn to fly somewhere, and if all they're fling to the bot usable helos, they're not learning anything.

Re: 0.95 COOP
Ok, so are we going to have to wait a year for the fix, or can this get pushed out asap? This ruins the entire COOP experience for those of who love it so much. How long before you see things go back to normal? I don't understand why we keep losing features with every update. We either lose maps, functionality, etc... There is always something.[R-DEV]Outlawz wrote:The bot aircraft was restricted, so people would stop complaining about 'helis that handle weird', I guess instead of that we now get 'omg why can't I fly this'.

The smell, you know that gasoline smell, the whole hill. Smelled like... victory. Someday this war's gonna end... "
