Downloads fail

Post by Jimmiefan48 »

for some reason all of your .95 downloads fail like i click on them the little loader thing pops up next to my cursor and the setup never comes up so either fix that or make a .91 to .95 patch that actually works

I could be just as unfriendly as you were and ask you whether you wanted your money back, but I'm gonna be nice and try to help you now.

The download links work for most of us. Did you try the torrent?

Many people are playing right now, so you might reconsider to where the problem lies.
Try to look it up, because people with an attitude like yours should expect little help tbh.
If you can read this the ***** fell off.

Oh, now I understand the problem. Yes, give the installers a while, can take several minutes.

This.

@OP:There's no reason to come around here with that attitude, it will get you nowhere.

The installer takes a while to start up due to the large size of the files. This is especially true when you have UAC enabled. Simply click and wait and it will come up.

The smell, you know that gasoline smell, the whole hill. Smelled like... victory. Someday this war's gonna end... "

Just to re-iterate, UAC on modern Windows OSs can cause this, especially if you have anti-malware/virus software (ie - Microsoft Security Essentials) that have a real-time scanner enabled by default. I do not condone it, but try temporarily disabling the realtime checking of these systems before running the installers. Install, then re-enable. Otherwise, wait :) Each installer isn't that big by today's standards though. A 1.1Gb (on average) filesaize exe runs far quicker than a 4.7 or 9.4Gb image from a DVD drive, which has a slower bus t your system than that of where the PR installer has when sitting on your HDD.
