[0.957] Massive FPS drop after ALT TAB (Bug?)

since im not sure again if this belongs into the Bug section, im posting it here. maybe someone else has made similar experiences.

sometimes it happens that my game becomes unplayable (approx. 1 fps) after doing ALT Tab. really random thing. it is not possible to play, press buttons correctly etc. the only solution is to ALT F4, but even that takes ages then.

the only task running in backround was Teamspeak3 (before 0.95 i was able to ALT Tab all day and night without getting this error anyway)

happened on Iron Eagle, Burning Sands and Silent Eagle until now, but i didnt have that much time to play that much, so maybe ill have it on many other maps also.

my specs:

CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.4ghz

RAM: 4 GB DDR3

Graphics: Nvidia GTS250 512 RAM

OS: Windows XP home 32bit

more info needed?


edit: my graphic settings = everything on high, except texture medium, AA 8, visual range 100%, 1600 x 900

as you may have read, i was not sure if its a bug or not and if it belongs into that subforum.
it can also be that it is about something with my specifications and other people may have experienced the same issues and could propably help me out with a nice suggestion!

whoops sorry i forgot to edit it and didn't wnat to get ninja'd :S, just have something running in the background or alternativly , ctrl,alt, delete and bring up task manager (works for XP) its like what your doing now.

excuse me if i misunderstand that actually.. but now thats confusing me.

ctrl alt del brings up task manager, of course, but in which way does this affect my problem right now? my CPU workload is @ 2% when running PR, if you mean that.

having processes running in the backround never was a problem for me @ PR and im somehow sure it is also not the problem right now, because my computer (quad core + GTS250) might always be able to take it easy, since im not running stuff like fruity loops or photoshop or even monster up- or downloads beside gaming.

can you please explain to me, what you mean? sry, maybe my english isnt good enough to understand your sentence correctly!

don't think it's really a bug, i get this too when i'm switching channels

however, i blame a crappy computer and pr's massive memory
