Loading stuck at 0%
Someone probably has a solution to this problem, but I have not seen it yet.
When I load into a server or even a local game, my loading screen stays stuck at 0% for at least 10 minutes. I tried:
1. Uninstalling PR and Reinstalling it
2. Uninstalling PR and BF2, then Reinstalling both
3. Defragging my computer
4. Running as Admin
5. Changing the compatibility mode
6. Reducing graphics settings to Low (except for the view distance which I keep at 100%)
I am using Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit and here are some specs for my computer:
Processor: AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 910 Processor (4 CPUs), ~2.6GHz
Memory: 8GB RAM
Video Card: ATI Radeon HD 4350 Series
Please help? Because I can't think of what can be causing this issue.
Edit:
Used the BF2 Cleaner, No success.
Cleared out the BF2 cache. No success
This is version 0.95 I am having a problem with.

I have the exact same problems and have done everything you have in attempt to solve it.
except I was able to run it successfully for a couple times before this started happening.

Still need help...
Tried today. And seems that I am not stuck, but my game requires 15 minutes to load 1% of the game...
Anyone can shed light on what is going on?

Re: Loading stuck at 0%
It actually works for me today.
All I did was run a drive consistency check.
I'm not sure how that would have fixed it, but that is the only thing I changed on my computer between the times that it was and wasn't working. (I also deleted web cookies and a trial internet security program, but I don't think those had much to do with it.)
It would seem odd though that we have this problem at the same time.

Re: Loading stuck at 0%
No. BF2 works absolutely amazing, loading in less than 3 minutes.
Restarted again but this time It takes 15 minutes to get to 40%
So its rising.

I'm having this same problem. I actually have been since the beginning of May 2010 and have yet to have a surefire fix given to me, therefore, rendering me incapable of playing since that time. Any and ALL admins and support Tech who're going to address this issue, please take a gander at both of this posts as they represent WEEKS of progress that never came to a final compromise. I'm assuming that because this problem is now more common than it was a month or 2 ago (I seemed to be the only person who had this issue at the time), some of these people might fall onto the same track I did and may need further help than what was already provided to me.
To all that are having this issue, please refer to these two posts as well as they may provide possible fixes for you!

Admins, I'd also like to have a tech issue me remote-windows-assistance suggested to me by [R-COM]Darkpowder

I'm starting to feel your pain. Reading through your previous threads I'm thinking I would have blown my own head off within the first few posts. It seemed like everyone couldn't understand that this is much more than impatience for long load times. Taking 4 hours for 5% is not normal. It appears that with this new release quite a few more people are having the same problem, myself included.
I haven't been able to pay PR yet on my new laptop because of impossible loading times. I've tried most of the solutions already suggested with no change. When I say new I mean I got this notebook in late August for school. I've done little more than write a few word documents, create a few powerpoints, and browse the internet. I can't imagine something on my end being wrong. The main difference you and I have is that my vBF2 loading times are fine. But who needs vBF2 when theres PR?
I'm really hoping a solution is found for this issue very soon.

---->>>I HAVE A FIX<<<----
I am guessing you have an HP E9220Y desk top like I did?
\/\/\/FIX\/\/\/
***Completely disable and turn off, or uninstall your Webroot antivirus and your problem will be permenantly fixed.***
Some antivirus software will cause serious loading issues for this game and Webroot is nutorious. I personally had to deal with it so I feel your pain. I am sorry it took so long for me to post this.

Reason: I have the only real fix for this long lasting problem and must make it easier to see so people can finally play again

Re: Loading stuck at 0%
There has been a few other topics of this exact issue in the last 4-5 months that have been addressed, very unnecessary bump. Also simply turning it off does not work, it must be uninstalled.

The only solution that I am aware of so far was to uninstall Webroot AV:

Great..due to buying the computer...I have it for 1 more year when I bought the PC..so each time I wanna play pR i have to uninstall..then reinstall afterward...yeesh this is gonna be a pain..I am trying to send Webroot information on maybe supporting PR so that Gamer Mode will just work for the darn thing already.
