Ingame sound

Hi,

I have installed the latest patch and joined a few servers and noticed everyones voice was muffled (like underwater) however truck sounds guns hots etc... was sounding like they should.
I exited the game and went to desktop and started up counterstrike source shootemup game along with playing music etc.. and my soundcard is fine.
I checked the vocals and bass in my setup and everything is sweet and how it should be.
People can hear me fine but still i cannot hear them, even after joining several other servers and exiting game ( also restarting my comp) but everyone sounds sweet on mumble,vent,ts3 etc.. just PR theres problems.

Any help or suggestions?
