2 Devs: As far as I understand, if everything is OK, then tr.exe should appear in task manager when I run PR?

1. Is this 2D indicator (chevron) displayed right away, when the SL sets the marker? Or after some time? Does SL himself see this chevron (marker is far away, say 500m)?

2. Range to the marker, that is shown on map - it will always show 0, unless I man the mortar?

If required - will .net framework 4 do? or it will work with 3.5.1. only?

AFAIK, it's only required for pr.exe, NOT tr.exe. So don't worry about it.

If you read closely, You will notice, that distance doesn't matter in my case.
I cannot see chevron AT ALL - at 200 or at 2000 m.
If I come close I see 3D marker, as earlier.

All i gotta find out is why my mumble doesnt work propper anymore since the 0.95.
So ill be browsing the forum a bit more.

I don't mean to get off content, just didn't feel it deserved a new thread...my friend's chevron takes about 2 full seconds until it will show up (when looking in the direction) he can be looking to the left of the marker, and see the chevron to the right, so he'll look right, it'll disappear (if he doesn't keep his view that direction) and reappear as soon as it's out of his view again, to the left. He has the CD version, and if you need more info I can ask him, just felt like I should let someone here know.

Just letting you guys know he must've had antivirus on or something, it worked today perfectly fine.

UPDATE: I don't know if these two issues are connected, but I didn't get any CTD on disconnect after replacing the tr.exe

Will give it more comprehensive testing this evening to make sure.

off topic but i cant even hop onto mortars, i either ctd, or if i can stay on without ctding the whole screen is distorted, looks like a whole maze of pixels.

The Chevron also does not show up on the compass (in all situations I have been in) when you join a squad that already has an active marker. It only appears once the squad leader sets a new marker after you have joined.

Played the Fallujah West as insurgent. I joined the server in the middle of the battle. When I joined squad and spawned, I saw the chevron.. everything seemed OK.
But when I opened the map, I saw no marker there.
I followed the direction the chevron said me to go and after some time I saw 3D attack marker. Opened my map again - there was no marker.


When SL set the new marker, everything became normal. Chevron worked, marker was on map and 3D marker also was there, when I got close.

That's a vBF2 bug where you can't see the markers on the map if you joined after they got placed, same with mine markers and similar

Unfortunely i received an new error with this.
I get kicked out trough punkbuster from the UK warfare server.
(happend over 5 times already)

Md5 tools mismatch @ mods/pr/tr

So somehow punkbuster don't register it as an valid tr


hope there is a way to fix this as well.
