[0957] Unexplained 100 ticket loss

Post by ytman »

Map: Jabal
Standard

Flag layout: Jabal City-> Dam -> South Bridge-> East Beach

Event: About 20-30 minutes in USMC team went from 200 odd tickets to 99 tickets. Death total was small (40 odd [increase of about 10]) vehicle loss was none (2 AAVs, 2 CAS, 4 Trans) and we lost no flag.

Perhaps what occured was that we almost captured South Bridge before falling back, and when the MEC did cap it we lost (30) tickets. Beyond that I have no explanation.

Round ended at 45 minutes in. Deaths were 50-66 (USMC-MEC) and tickets were 130 odd MEC - 0 USMC.

If thay capped 2 flags very fast its only 60 tickets but alot could tip it to 200 or more fairly rapidly

Did alot of players die and give up the same time as thay capped
Did a full chopper go down at the same time.

Heres one that could lose a whole round in one fell swoop.

2 flags capped at once, a squad gets pwned by a nade and all give up, a full chopper goes down, a commander dies (commander death is 10 tickets afaik) and an apc goes down all at once or very close together = round over or unrecoverable loses.

*edit* Dev1200:I heard this somewere but cant for the life me remember where but it seems logical to me.

I don't think commander death is worth 10 tickets, same as a tank =\

At least in 0.91, commander death was still 1, (I died as commander and the team lost only one point, and i did it many times) don't know about 0.95, but its very likely the same.

Rounds are to fast at the moment!
Fix it, because its a bug - look the time. 3:50h TIMER.... Round end: 3:10... is that PR? I dont think so... its a big bug and im realy angry about this.... and sad...

I was the commander at the command station. I saw everything going on, I can say no vehicle was lost. Perhaps one squad killed but the ticket loss seemed way too much, specifically considering the KDR of both teams and then the after round ticket score.

I might be missing something but I suggest people to pay attention to tickets a little more closely to see if their are bugs or if its just the new mechanics at work.

was it a map change or was it an actual round end where one team had 0?
Information in the hands of a critical thinker is invaluable, information alone is simply dangerous.
