CTD's while loading maps.

i got 3 different things that always happen to me while playing PR.
1: CTD when map is done loading
2: CTD when the second map (after first one loads fine and the round is over) is done loading
and 3: this one isnt really a CTD, but i'll be loading a map, and randomly, you hear the error sound, and your mouse pointer turns into the loading symbol, and the map completley stops loading, the only way outta that, is to alt-f4, ctrl-alt-delete, or press esc, which just makes it crash anyways.
can you help me resolve this problem? its very irritating,
and ive played pr since .75 and loved it ever since i started playin it.
ive had this problem before, just it wasnt as bad.
but now its just messing up every time a load a map.

EDIT:forgot to add, im running 32bit. if that changes anything.

How much RAM do you have? Could you post your system specifications? It looks like a RAM issue.

i got 4GB of ram
gts250
and an intel 1.8ghz dual core(sucks, i know, gonna get somethin new soon)
ill look for everything else if you need me to.

Does it happen on all maps or only on a few of them?
(I'm not actually good at all these tech things, but I guess those who can actually help you will want to know the specs and the maps that it happens with )

i dont really know the maps that it does it on,
i was playing on operation barracuda fine,
and kashan desert crashed..
(after the game crashed after barracuda.. dont remember which map that was)
and another one did that error thing.. but i dont remember which map that was either.

This isn't just a Vista problem. I'm running XP 32 bit and have the exact same problem with the new version of PR.

Usually it will get to about 92% map loaded and CTD. No errors, nothing. Or it will load the map and I can play just fine until the round ends and when it's loading the new map it will CTD again.

I have decent pc specs for this older game, it runs fine...

Core 2 Duo e8400 @ 3.0
ATi 4850
4 gig ram

Maybe it's a corrupt install? Or maybe some CCC options? Does PR not like adaptive antialiasing or some other CCC features maybe? Please help.

if its a corrupt install, that would make me kinda mad, i got a slow download speed (160kb/s)
and i gotta download the stuff overnight, if im able to.
and i deleted the installs for it cause they were taking up space..
but, i really would like help on this, please.

Well, all I can say is that I know these errors, or similar errors, from my own old computer - and even from my new computer from time to time. No idea why, though.
