Bro, just strap on a heart beat sensor on that and you can tell where they be hiding.

Re: Sniping + Thermal Imaging = Not very fun
once i was able to kill a full squad with a sniper and a fellow marksman teammate and we were never spotted.
which helped take over a flag that had an enemy FOB and fully deployed assets.
from experience i know that if used properly the sniper kit can be very effective.

te give a response to the statement in above posts that snipers are never important:
snipers are very effective at taking out specific targets, when doing so they can pin down entire squads in buildings, denying the use of specific spawnpoints and FOB's, denying free movement/use of rooftops apart from their use as spotter.
it's true, it doesn't take a good sniper to achieve above effects, however, a good sniper who cares about his team can use above effects to support his team greatly.
though alas, it doesn't often as most snipers are content with just snatching a life or two.
the thermal sights adds a new dimension to snipers, they have to care more about their position and keep in mind the position of enemy vehicles. perhaps the fact that vehicles are now intimidating for snipers makes them more inclined to spot them for their team in hope of support?

Re: Sniping + Thermal Imaging = Not very fun
So many opinions... Here's mine
It's all down to the player using the sniper kit. Some people know how to use it very effectively, especially for spotting / lazing targets and keeping enemy assets like TOW etc. unmanned. Unfortunately there are not a great many players like that.
About sniping being 'not very fun' well that's just a matter of opinion. Some people never considered it fun and some people think marksman could do the same job..
Sniper still has the huge advantages of spotting / lazing the vehicles with thermal imaging and most importantly hearing the approaching vehicles from very great distances away.
On maps like Kashan Desert etc. where there is not a lot of vegetation or other cover snipers will probably get spotted even without thermal imaging if they stay in the enemys FOV for too long.
