ok got a question here about the LAT kit.
yeasterday evening I hade a posibility to actully hit a smoking MBT and I whas wondering if it would have killed it or disabelt it? seeing it whas already smoking alot so I kinda figured it whas major damaged already.
I choose not to incase it whas a waste and a better target might come bye my location, so I let him drive of not shoiting at him, whas I right to do so or shut I have taken the shot?
What im really asking is do the LAT even damage MBT at all and if they doo I geuss it takes alot of LAT?s to bring one down unless like im asking would I have been able to disable it or perhabs even kill it, because it whas damaged already.
My LAT kit whas the one with the 2 RPGs.

hi,
i assume youre talking about the insurgents lat - i dont think theres any other 2 shot rpg than that (rpg-26 has only 1).
a conventional forces lat does quite some decent damage to a mbt, leaving out hit to the front armor. for example if you have a shot on the top, or the hatch (merk) it aint a waste, unless theres a better target (apc = freekill).
the insurgent lat is a little less harmful, but you compensate that by having a 2nd shot (same as the new russian hat).
irl a conventional forces lat could indeed take out the tanks crew or disable their tracks or even with a - goddamn lucky - shot between turret and body (thats not the right term, but im too lazy to find it out - "wanne" would be the german term) you could kill it. but due to the limitation of the engine that cant be implemented.

OK thx alot for the answers, year I figured it might scare him off even more, and I think he whas already on his way back to repair at the main.
And i also thought that the rpg with 2 rounds whas weaker then the 1 shot LAT kits because of the ammo count.
Next time I will take the shot definitly if he is damaged perhabs I can disable him or even make him burn, and even be able to get the 2 shot off aswell
