drop-down boxes are unresponsive

Post by jonny501 »

Downloaded PR 0.957, which is great when it is on another computer or another server. Whenever i open a server on my windows 7 equipped laptop, for single-player or for hosted closed games, the features exclusive to PR, namely the ability to 1.) Switch Kits, 2.) Have to switch kits to use certain vehicles, and 3.) To deploy structures, are not available. The option is there, but it cannot be done. I can use these features when this is hosted somewhere else, so my question is, Is there something that i need to do to get it working properly on my computer?

Make sure your not the commander when you want to fly/drive anything that needs a crew kit. To build you need to be squad leader or commander

understood, as i know the system, but when hosting it just doesn't happen...whenever i am on a server hosted elsewhere, all of the options are available, but on this computer, for some reason, regardless of if i am the SL or not, they do not work. It is almost as if it is playing the BF2 with a PR theme.

You must be in a squad to do these things. Are you getting any error messages?
Did you check if your keys are bound correctly? Try resetting the your keys to default - sometimes BF2 messes things up and you have to bind everything from scratch or restore defaults.

I will try that, thanks. No error messages though..there is often tons of lag too...is it just a Win 7 thing? or is it an ID10T problem?
