Several blobs with supporting squads does work. That seperate squads ninjaing are more effective is complete BS. If you get teams of equal organisation level then you need to work together with support, transport and attack squads.

Then again it is new release period, so the infantry can be bad at times, but it is still way more effective to at least try and organise your team.
For public play, It's fairly unrealistic to have more than 2 squads supporting each other- even then it can be unwieldy if the two SLs disagree over something or simply fail to communicate enough.

No, while it is true that mass organization is way better than Ninja-style attacks, it simply is a tedious mess that becomes a primetime target for insurgents on public servers. An unfocussed blob can often get the job done better than a unified force simply because it is able to probe a position from all sides and take initiative of the situation in ways that the top-down organization required for what you're suggesting doesn't allow.

So, I would say Ninja squads have and generally still do work and are a viable option, simply because the alternative is usually quite ineffective in practice

Working together doesn't mean standing next to each other.

Sure, putting the whole team in one grid is a terrible idea. But, so is splitting your team between two caches. Or even worse, having people off 'collecting intelligence'.

I totally agree with OP, Blufor needs to work together more. If your a squad leader, and you see your whole team stuck trying to attack a cache, don't be all like "well they're obviously failing at the assault, so more people will just mean more tickets lost". Instead, think of it like real life, would you just ignore your buddies who are dying?

Passive inter-squad teamwork can do wonders for blufor in insurgency mode. You dont need to tell the other squad your helping them, just do it. We all have the same goal.
