Worth playing again?

Post by wookimonsta »

Hey guys,
probably no one here remembers me, but i used to play alot ages ago.
Anyways, i felt like giving it a try, but i can't find my favorite mumble servers. TnT and UKWF and the UKWF game server has an average of 0 players :( . If i recall correctly, i am still banned on 10th community as well.
Anyways, can someone get me up to speed on how many people still play and where they do this?

Yeah I remember you Wooki, awesome huey Pilot :p

After the release of .95 even more people seem to be playing. Prob not so many on in the morning but in the evening or after 16:00 GMT you will find +3 servers with 64/64 and a few still filling up and around 21:00 GMT you will have around 5 - 7 servers with 64/64

UKWF has two servers now if I remember correctly and they are always full when I try to join the same with TNT. You are lucky ofc if u manage to find a spot in TG.

But there are alot of other good servers out there too and it seems like you can find good teamwork on almost ALL servers which is a good sign :)

Welcome back!

Well it is 12.23 GMT and there are 765 people playing atm, that gets well over 1000 in the evening, up to around 1500 at peak times.

UKWF seems to be almost always full, although there are a number of other British servers that are decent as well like =MeRk= and *NwA* and those are constantly well populated.

Yes a couple days ago I counted 12 servers that were 55+ or full. Mods still going strong, maybe even stronger after this patch.

Wait a couple of weeks more before giving it a try since you are an old experienced PR player. Teamwork throughout the whole team can be rare at this time since alot of new players are trying out the new release. You can find a squad with good teamwork but there's a lack of an organized team effort atm even on good servers IMO.

Tactical Gamer is the number one server for mumble. Everyone on it has voip and uses mumble. And about half of the players are members, so you know their good.

Of course, there still is PR mumble. Comes with the installation files of PR 0.95.

Yeah, Mumble is great thing - just played at PRTA Mumble server - The Muttrah. Enemy organized the strong offensive (USMC), but we hold our position (MEC). The game becomes more greater with Mumble but it should be become a lot easier to use. By the way, greetings Wooki. ;)

1.5 is a full patch. You can skip the 1.41

not true, if you do it this way it will give you an error, one of the more stupid decisions by dice.
you need to download 1.41 and then 1.5 for the patching to work properly

If you download from EA downloader the files are already patched to 1.5 no need to do any thing just install. I did a fresh download/install last week after a HDD format and the latest download is 1.5.

welcome back wooki! always great to have new players joining, even better when old ones come back. With all the fresh blood, we need every one with experience in the old ways to help splatter it all over the maps > :D

Here's to the old school tactics that always work out for you in a pinch. Sometimes when i'm stuck in a tight spot, i can always rally my squad and punch out using things i've learned in .65 I hope you'll be bringing back some some lost knowledge with you too.

The patching system depends on how you got the game. OP said he got it from DL manager, so it's already up to date on 1.4.

If you have the old 3 CD's or DVD you'll need both patches.
