BF2 & PR crashing (CTD) 64x

Post by iNilo »

alright, Just downloaded PR 0.957
I made a fresh install of BF2
Patched it to 1.41 then 1.50
Rebooted
Installed PR
Now...
I've been searching on the forums for solutions for my CTD's I have ...
List when I get a CTD
- My PR crashes when i'm joining a server (double clicking a server from the server list)
- PR crashes when going to options and pressing sound ( :? : :? :)
- PR crashes when creating a local game at 100% loading
- BF2 crashes when clicked 'Log In' so I never saw the Menu ...

Stuff I tried :
the "+ fullscreen 0" (trick)
i'm running it on Administrator Mode
tried on XP SP3 mode
updating GPU drivers (now 260.99 Nvidia drivers) (8800 GTS 512)

I Think it has something to do with the sound  it seems so strange that it crashes when clicking sound in the options menu...
I dont see a error nor do I know where to find crash logs for you peepz ;-)

I use alot of sound cards :) but I disabled all of them and I'm only using the Logitech G35 headset ...

I Think it has to do something with my sound stuff (it crashes on sound options)
The weird thing (and maybe good thing) is that it PR launches but BF2 crashes nearly instantly ...
If you need any more info or tell me where I can find the crash logs. I would be happy to help you :) so we can solve this thing :)

Thank you very much !
