Windows 7 64-bit and PR
I have Windows 7 64-bit. BF2 works %100 fine. As soon as I install PR BF2 doesn't work and PR just crashes. Its very very annoying. Any ideas who to fix?

Are you running pr.exe as administrator? Also, have you tried putting pr.exe into compatibility mode for Windows XP SP 3?

Yeah tried both.
Got that really common black screen then nothing bug.
Then BF2 stopped working. Had to re-install.

Re: Windows 7 64-bit and PR
I'm running Windows 7 ultimate 32-bit on my brand new hard drive (the last one crapped out on me) and I'm having the same issues. I installed everything in order and followed your advice by setting everything to compatibility mode and run as administrator for all three .exe files and no change. The initial small PR box still pops up and just sits there before disappearing after a minute or so. When I click on the box windows tells me it's not responding, so I just cancel it. I've already tried reinstalling. I'm all out of ideas.Forcat_Speciale wrote:I'm have got windows 7 64-bit too, and it runs perfectly, so it can't be the problem of the game. Try to run the PR.exe, BF2.exe and the tr.exe (if you have PR 0.95) in Compability mode(Windows XP SP2 or SP3) and it should work fine. If it still doesn't work make sure the: "Run this program as an administrator" box is checked, in all three exe. If it's not check the box and run the game.

Re: Windows 7 64-bit and PR
ive got the same problem with pr..
i formatted my hdd... was a mess after 2 years of gaming.. files / downloads etc.
so thought i would back up and format to have a nice new fast computer..
when i install pr mod it does the same as the above mentioned post..
ive installed it in the correct way .. bf2.. 1.41 then 1.5 patch et etc
but yeah as soon as i click on the pr desktop icon .. the smallish pr box comes up.. and then "not responding"... then the pr box dissapears.
bf2 vanilla works fine.. just not pr..
seems a lot of people are having this issue ??
is there going to be a fix or a solution found by the devs at all ? would be greatly appreciated by all .. most of all me..
thank you for an awesome game and hopefully we can get this problem resolved for all..

Try going to your video con files.
C:\Users\yourname\Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles\Default
Open the file with wordpad (as ADMIN)
Edit your setting to low and put correct resolution.

Check prError.log at <BF2_DIR>/mods/prGnoblar wrote:I have Windows 7 64-bit. BF2 works %100 fine. As soon as I install PR BF2 doesn't work and PR just crashes. Its very very annoying. Any ideas who to fix?
In my case it contained
System.ArgumentException: Folder name C:\Users\Admin\Documents/Battlefield 2/Profiles/Default is not valid.
в System.IO.FileSystemWatcher.set_Path(String value)
в o..ctor(String A_0)
в g.a(String[] A_0)
So I have to run BF2 under Admin account and then PR start working OK
