How do you use mumble????

Post by LegioX »

I went on a server
PRTA Mumble Server [EU] PR 0.957d Linux
and they keep telling me to get on mumble but i don't know how to.
I get on PRmumble v0.5, configure my audio, click on server->connect and couldn't find their name on it, heres what i have
A bunch of yoco stuff (wtf are they?)
Diego
Homak
Gonzalo
Icecrown
and those, but none of them are PRTA.
there are PGS, but that doesn't work either.

Well, once you have joined the PR-Mumble Server, just look for the channel, called "Project Reallity Teamwork Alliance", thats what PRTA stands for ;)

Join the channel an then go on the server. It's best to ask here via teamchat, wich team you are in, either "team 1" or "team 2". People on the server will tell you that and you can join the sub-channel of the appropriate team on mumble.

Sounds complicated, but it's quite easy, tbh ;)

you should not go looking in the list of different servers. The settings are there already by default, so put in a username and press connect

You are clicking on wrong tab.

You have to:

click on server -> connect -> type your username and click CONNECT. Then you have to find channel as described above.

You don;t have to click on server browser as you were doing before.

Then get on the PRTA find which team is yours on Mumble and have a nice and teamwork oriented game on PRTA. :D

He has hit the nail on the head minus one small detail. You may have to click add(its down on the bottom somewhere) before you can actually click the "CONNECT" stage. Also remember no password is needed, and its useful to have your BF2 name as your username in mumble, but not necessary. Hope this helps and you get enjoying mumble asap :P

It's not only useful but as well it will save you frustration when you will be kicked from game if admins won't figure that this nick is you. ;] So yeh, do it and have corresponding nick ingame and on Mumble.

also make sure you are running as an administrator, otherwise mumble may mess up.
