Multiplayer LAN

Post by HaseoXth »

Hey guys!

I wanted to know if you could use this MOD in LAN COOP mode with bots, because I wanted to play with a friend of mine (we were using AIX but we didnt like it, thanks to pure luck I found this).
I really like the features of this MOD, so if you could tell me you would be doing me a great favor.

Thanks in advance!

Were you playing AIX in lan?
Players might be hardcoded, but that sure doesn't seem to stop anybody from trying.

The only winning move is not to play. Insurgency, that is.

Yes. Pretty much the same method as you did with AIX (with different naming :p )

Go Co-Operative -> Create Local, and sort out your settings and maplist and stuff, then start the game. Then the people who wish to join your game that are in your network go Deployment -> Join Local. If the server doesn't show up in the list, join by IP.

Thanks for the answer!

I was reading just now that you needed to apply for the server files you can use to create a dedicated server.
My question is: You can only get the license if you have a "real" server right? (With "real" I mean servers a lot of people play in, that have a community, etc.)

You should not need a dedicated server to run a local server with a friend.

PR and Hamachi is like peas and carrots, they work perfectly together. Sometimes you may have to connect via IP in the local server screen though.
