bf2 + all mods i have freeze computer

if i play bf2 or any of the mods i have for it the game will freeze after about 1 to 2 hours and the only way i can get out of it is to re-start my pc, i have googled the issue and ive tryed loads of diffrent fixes and stuff but none work

CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 930 @ 2.80GHz
RAM: 4.0 GB
video card: ATI radion hd 5500 series
directx: 10

Your PC is possibly overheating, dealing with a hardware defect or simply running out of RAM, in rare cases this might be corrupted system file(s).
- Check your temperatures. Clean/dedust your fan.
- boost your pagefile (reactivate it if you have deactivated it)
- check your event viewer for errors (esp. in "System")
- If this started occuring at a certain date, try using "System Restore" to revert back before that date.
- run window's diagnostic tools/repair tools
